If any one ask me which is the most beautiful place in Kerala I don’t want to think twice, I would say its Marottichal. It is not a famous tourist place but if you go once, i am sure you will agree with me.
I still remember, we were enjoying our Onam vacation in my grandpa’s house. Suddenly my uncle suggested for an adventurous trip. We all agreed with him but the problem was about the place. He told us that he will ask the advice of his friend working in Donaholidays(Tour operators in Kerala). Marottichal was the place suggested by that guy, we had never heard about such a place in fact it is just 40 km way from Thrissur town.
We started our journey at 8′o clock morning and reached there at 9:30. At the starting point there is a small pool like area where we played for more than 2 hours. 
After that we continued our walking along the river. I saw a snake crossing across the river. My uncle is a brave man, he took a stick and beaten the snake until its dead
We all lost our strength at that time. Both sides of the river was huge jungles, many unknown creature like huge spiders.., it was just like watching a Rambo film. 
After a 4 km of walk we reached at the water falls. we took shower and spend more than 2 hours there.
I think even heaven wont be such beautiful.
